What do talent agents do?
Talent agents represent the interests of their clients in the recorded media sector. They provide important services such as casting searches, negotiations, overseeing contracts and agreements with producers, and career advice for performers. ACTRA Montreal does not endorse any particular talent agents or talent agencies, even those who appear on the list below. The agents listed on ACTRA Montreal’s website are required to respect and adhere to the Entertainment Industry Coalition’s Code of Conduct.
The Entertainment Industry Coalition (EIC) brings together many different organizations in the Canadian cultural sector. Members include ACTRA, the Canadian Actors’ Equity Association (or “Equity”), TAMAC (an association of talent agents), and the CDC (an association of casting directors).
A “(T)” next to an agent’s or agency’s name indicates it is a member of TAMAC.
The Code of Ethical Conduct
The Code of Ethical Conduct for Talent and Background Agents establishes ethical and professional standards for Talent Agents.
