ACTRA Montreal Branch Council Elections – Call for Nominees

The nomination period is now open to elect ACTRA Montreal’s eleven Branch Councillors. The first step in this process is to identify those members who wish to stand for election.

Branch Councillors form the leadership of ACTRA Montreal. They must participate in monthly meetings of the Branch Council. They also participate actively by contributing time and energy to various committees and branch initiatives. It is a volunteer position. The term of the Branch Council is two years.

Once elected, the new Branch Council will select, from amongst its members, a President, a Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary. From the Branch Council, they will also choose two National Councillors to represent the Montreal Branch on ACTRA’s National Council.

ACTRA Montreal Full Members in good standing who wish to run for office must sign the form. As well, two different Full ACTRA Montreal Members in good standing must sign the form in order to nominate and second the candidate. They must also provide their names and Membership numbers.

Nominated candidates must submit a candidate statement of no more than 100 words by email to ddalton@actra.ca.

The deadline to submit your completed nomination form and candidate statement to the ACTRA Montreal office is 5:00 p.m., October 18, 2019.
