ACTRA Awards in Montreal

The ACTRA Awards in Montreal recognize outstanding performances by ACTRA Montreal members and celebrate accomplishments and excellence in our film, television and videogame industry. This year, the 15th edition of the ACTRA Awards in Montreal will take place on Friday, June 12th, at ’’Le Gesù’’, at 18:30, and is proudly presented to you by AFBS.
Performance Awards
- Outstanding Performance in Film and Television Series
Outstanding Performance in Film and Television Series recognizes exceptional performances in films and television series, to honour the finest acting achievement.
- Outstanding Voice Performance
Outstanding Voice Performance recognizes exceptional voice work in dubbing, animation and documentary.
- Outstanding Performance in a Videogame
Outstanding Performance in a Videogame recognizes extraordinary voice acting and motion capture performances by actors in video games.
- Outstanding Stunt Performance
Outstanding Stunt Performance recognizes exceptional stunt performances in film, TV and video games
Special Awards
- Award of Excellence
The ACTRA Award of Excellence is a prestigious accolade presented by ACTRA to recognize the outstanding achievements of a member in the Canadian entertainment industry. The award is an acknowledgment from their peers for their exceptional contributions to the industry.
- Victor Knight Community Builder Award
The Victor Knight Community Builder award is ACTRA Montreal’s way of acknowledging an extraordinary individual for their selfless efforts to better our cultural community, someone whose activism and/or charity work goes far beyond ACTRA, impacting a much larger slice of Montreal society.
- Walter Massey Breakthrough Artist Award
The Walter Massey Breakthrough Artist award shines a light on a performer who has made a name for themselves through hard work and commitment to their craft. It is an acknowledgment of an ACTRA Montreal member who has taken their career to a new level.
Timeline

- 5 March 2026 Deadline to submit a nomination (Midnight)
- May 2026 Nominees announcement
- 12 June 2026 The ACTRA Awards in Montreal Ceremony
Nominations
ACTRA Montreal members were encouraged to nominate a fellow member or even nominate themselves for their work (if nominating themselves, they could only do so once per category).
- The nominated performance must be on an ACTRA contract, but the project need not have been produced in Montreal.
- The nominated performer must have been a member of ACTRA Montreal at the time the project was produced.
- Nominated performances should be for a Principal role.
- ACTRA Montreal members are encouraged to nominate themselves.
- Non-members, such as agents and producers, may nominate ACTRA Montreal members.
- A nominated performance must be from a project which has been released, screened or televised between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2025.
- A nominated performance may be from film, television, videogames, a low budget film, short film, web series, animated or dubbed project.
- A nominated performance may be for acting, voice work, stunt work or performance capture.
A non-exhaustive list of eligible productions featuring ACTRA Montreal members was shared to help identify members to can nominate.
